New Orleans held a couple of good drinking sessions, but otherwise was a bit of a meat market (in a bad way). The french quarter was basically a well kept beautiful network of small blocks and iron balconied houses, which a sleazy Ibiza street plowed straight through the middle (Bourbon Street).
I could see myself enjoying it in a larger group, but I just got tired of being harassed to buy shots and beads all the time. Getting old, obviously...
So on, through Houston (not much to say there - didn't bother with the space center as it's apparently a major rip off), and onto Austin, which by day is a bit quiet. Looking forward to tonight though ! More later...
